Rules and regulations

The legal basis for DANAK accreditation is stated in the Act on Promotion of Trade and Industry and in statutory orders. DANAK's assessment activities are based on standards in the DS/EN 45000 series, the DS/EN ISO/IEC 17000 series and DS/EN ISO 15189.

For these standards guidelines have been worked out by the European accreditation organization European co-operation for Accreditation (EA), International Accreditation Forum, Inc. (IAF) and International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC).

Inspection in accordance with the OECD's rules for God Laboratory Practice (GLP)

Appointment and notification in accordance with the council directive on construction products based on accreditation (rules for this are issued by the Danish Enterprise and Construction Authority)
