Establishment and purpose

The Board of the Danish Accreditation and Metrology Fund, DANAK, has appointed a number of sector committees with a view to providing DANAK with guidance on matters regarding fundamental principles for accreditation. The committees can recommend subjects to be considered by the Board and, furthermore they can set up temporary ad hoc work groups for consideration of specific formulations.

The Board of Directors has appointed the following sector committees:

Food testing

Calibration

Environment (testing)

Environment - Certification

Health care

Members, chairmen and secretariat

Members of the sector committees have been nominated by relevant stakeholders and the membership of the committees shall be representative of the users of the accreditation scheme. DANAK’s director can nominate more members with a special knowledge to a committee area.

The committee chairmen are nominated by the Board, and DANAK acts as secretariat for the committees.
